Greg Robinson
Founder and Financial Advisor
You could call me a "finance nerd." After completing my finance degree at UNCG, I spent the first several years of my career at a major bank and a global finance company but then took a keen interest in mergers and acquisitions while pursuing my MBA at High Point University.
During my time in M&A, I worked with owners of private firms and executives of public companies to guide them through the process of business valuation, due diligence, negotiating agreements, and closing.
I learned a great deal from seeing inside successful businesses and spending time with the entrepreneurs behind them.
But, I felt there was more I could be doing for these hard charging individuals. They were laser focused on their companies, yet outside of their businesses many of them weren't getting much financial guidance.
At that same time, I was helping my parents with their retirement planning. They had accumulated assets, and had questions like: How do I invest at this stage? How much money could I withdraw each month without worrying about running out? How do my current investments fit together with social security or a pension? And, is there a way to perform all this in a tax-efficient manner?
During this experience, I realized that I enjoyed the challenge of solving the financial planning puzzle. This persuaded me to obtain the series 65 securities license and start helping busy professionals with their financial planning and wealth management.
I founded EWS to avoid the issues at the big box firms. Being independent allows me to find the best solution for each client at a transparent price.
Executives have unique needs. My core focus is to help them retire with confidence.
